Adult Learn to Swim

*Must be 16 years or older

Introduces basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes, including the front crawl, breaststroke and elementary backstroke. Participants strive for stroke performance and learn water safety.

  • Changing direction from front to back and back to front
  • Change from vertical to horizontal positions on front and back, while changing direction
  • Treading water using different hand and arm techniques
  • Bobbing, rotary breathing, and submerging with a surface recovery
  • Front and back glides and floats
  • Stroke development on the front and back with combined arm and leg actions
