Parks & Trails Manager

The Town of Snowmass Village is seeking a dynamic hands-on manager to lead its trails and landscaping program. The Parks/Trails Manager position requires specialization and expertise in athletic turf and trails management, and the employee performs a variety of routine and skilled maintenance, minor construction, custodial, and repair duties involving parks, trails, and recreation amenities, grounds, and equipment. This employee must possess excellent supervisory, organizational, scheduling, budgeting, and public relations skills.  The position requires a minimum of three years’ experience in athletic field and parks maintenance, trails maintenance, or a related field with a minimum of three years’ experience in supervising outdoor maintenance teams. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in parks management, landscape architecture, recreation, natural resources, environmental science or similar field or a combination of experience and education required to perform the job effectively. The selected applicant must have a valid driver’s license. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or the ability to obtain these within 6 months upon hire is necessary. A pesticide applicator license, CPSI certification, and related licenses or certifications are preferred.
