Town of Snowmass Village Parks & Recreation Mission Statement

To provide safe, expertly managed recreation programs that promote community cohesion, physical fitness, as well as family and individual well-being.

Refund Policy

• 100% refund/credit/transfer if Department cancels program or facility rental.
• Refund request must be received at least 48 hours in advance of the start of a program/rental/league or refund will not be honored.
• Refunds/credit/transfer request received less than 48 hours prior to the start date of a program/rental/ team placement will not be granted.
• Refunds for medical reasons requested prior to the start date of program/rental/ team placement will be granted at 100% subject to verification.

The Snowmass Village Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is 16,000 sq.ft and contains approximately 2,400 sq.ft. of fitness area, 2,500 for changing rooms and 7,500 sq.ft. of gymnasium and climbing area. Also included is a waiting area, small concession wing, space for offices and public restrooms for use by outdoor recreation area users.

Fitness Room

The 1,200 sq.ft. room is capable of accommodating a variety of classes and activities and can be divided into two separate rooms capable of holding two separate exercise classes or activities. The mezzaznine currently is home to reformer Pilates machines and classes. A high-tech sound system rounds out this unbelievable space.

Gymnasium

The gym offers a variety of activities, programs and many leagues. It consists of a full-length basketball court with two cross-courts, plus volleyball and badminton.

Climbing Wall / Bouldering Cave

A one-of-a-kind bouldering cave design for our center enables climbers to try their skills without any ropes or belay device. The climbing wall is 25' high and offers routes for lead, belay and crack climbing. Climbing shoes are required and are available for rent for $2. Certification is required for the Climbing Wall, held Tuesday and Thursday evenings. No pre-certification is required for the bouldering cave. The Climbing Wall and Bouldering Cave offer something for every level of climber and many classes are provided.

Heated Saltwater Pools

We have 4 Outdoor Saltwater Pools, 3 of which are open year round. Our Leisure Pool is heated to 94 degrees and has a zero-depth entry, tumble buckets and various waterfalls and jets. There is a separate water slide that is open during the non-freezing months of the year. The Lap Pool is 25 Yards in length, heated to 82 degrees and available for lap swim during regular pool hours. The Hot Tub is perfect for after that long day on the ski slope or mountain biking.

Skate Park

Our skate park is a 10,000 sq ft in ground facility.  It is designed to provide almost everything for a beginner to the most advanced skaters.  We offer instruction for all levels and also competitions in the Summer.  Private lessons are also available. Helmets and pads are highly recommended for use in the parks. Bikes or scooters are not permitted in or around the park. A full list of rules and regulations are on display at the park.

Tennis Courts

All courts are open daily to the public and can be used on a first-come basis (Except during scheduled activities). The courts can also be reserved by calling the Recreation Center at 922-2240. These courts house a variety of open play, lessons, tournaments and programs.

Sand Volleyball Courts
Bring your own ball or borrow one from the Recreation Center.

Outdoor Basketball Courts
One full-length court and two cross-courts are available for daily play.

Locker Policy
A limited amount of lockers are available for rental.

• Cost: 1/2 lockers - $45/3 Months, $90/6 Months

• Cost Fill Lockers - $75/3 Months, $150/6 Months

• Lockers must be cleared out and lock removed by the last day of the rental period.  Therafter, locks will be cut and locker contents held for 30 DAYS.

• Unclaimed belongings will be donated to charity.

• The Snowmass Village Recreation Center is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any lost, stolen, or damaged items resulting from the rental of this locker.

• The Snowmass Village Recreation Center reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time at its discretion.

• Cleanliness of locker is renters responsibility.

• There will be NO REFUNDS at anytime during the time for unwanted or unused lockers.
